Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience in building or facility maintenance preferred.
• Healthcare, SNF, hospital, or long‑term care maintenance experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and perform repairs safely.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to resident and staff safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of the building, grounds, equipment, and resident areas.
• Complete routine and preventive maintenance to keep facility systems operating safely and efficiently.
• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and mechanical repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
• Maintain and repair doors, locks, windows, walls, ceilings, floors, fixtures, and other building components.
• Assist with maintenance of resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other facility spaces.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, including wheelchairs, beds, and other facility equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance and repairs.
• Identify potential safety hazards and report or correct them promptly.
• Assist with emergency repairs and facility‑related emergencies when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and work areas.
• Follow all facility safety policies, infection‑control procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Assist with fire and life‑safety inspections, drills, and emergency preparedness activities.
• Work cooperatively with nursing, housekeeping, dietary, administration, and other departments.
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director or Administrator.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Skilled Nursing Facility team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, comfortable, and fully operational environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with general building maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting. Experience in a healthcare, nursing home, assisted living, hospital, or similar facility is preferred.
