Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or facilities maintenance preferred.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform physical maintenance duties and safely use hand and power tools.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Healthcare or skilled nursing facility experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs and preventive maintenance throughout the facility.
• Inspect buildings, equipment and systems to identify maintenance needs.
• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and mechanical repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
• Maintain resident rooms, common areas, offices and other facility areas.
• Assist with heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical and other building systems.
• Maintain and repair doors, locks, fixtures, furniture and other equipment.
• Perform routine safety and facility inspections.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Follow all facility safety policies and applicable regulations.
• Work with outside contractors and service providers when needed.
• Assist with emergency maintenance situations as required.
