Job summary

NewCold in Macon, GA is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform a broad range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure warehouse operations run efficiently. You will maintain equipment per supplier guidelines and uphold safety standards.

Join a collaborative team to work with conveyors, refrigeration systems, fire protection, and other mechanical systems. The role requires hands‑on experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and comfort working in a cold environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience in industrial maintenance or related field.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems, including conveyors and related systems.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, including low‑voltage, high‑voltage 480V, and 3‑phase motors.
• Previous experience with PLCs is a plus, as is familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Must be able to work effectively in cold freezer environment.
• Must be able to climb 120ft ladder using safety harness.
• Fall protection equipment rated for a maximum capacity of 310 lbs must be used for tasks performed at height.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment according to supplier guidelines, including conveyors, cranes, refrigeration systems, fire protection, doors, and other mechanical systems.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and repairs with minimal impact to operations.
• Coordinate downtime and repairs with Planners and System Operators to limit interference.
• Troubleshoot and repair components in conveyors, cranes, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Fix electrical control systems, low‑ and high‑voltage issues as needed.
• Operate machine tools to repair or fabricate parts and fixtures.
