Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials Services seeks a maintenance technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on facility machinery and equipment. You will perform various maintenance activities on the warehouse floor and support lean initiatives.

The role requires 3-5 years in industrial maintenance, a technical degree, and strong blueprint-reading and communication skills. Safety-minded candidates will thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and similar problems on machinery/equipment and perform timely repairs.
• Establish appropriate frequency and perform regular preventive maintenance activities on all machinery/equipment in the facility.
• Perform timely facility/building maintenance and minor repairs, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Dismantle defective machines/equipment and install new or repaired equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs.
• Coordinate and make recommendations on work-related contracts and services.
• Supervise outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance.
• Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.
