Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials, LLC on-site maintenance technician role involves inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on warehouse machinery and heavy equipment. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and perform timely repairs to keep production flowing.

You will read blueprints, coordinate with external contractors when needed, and uphold safety, quality, and Lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate mechanical and technical aptitude.
• 3-5 years experience in an industrial, maintenance environment.
• College degree or certificate in a technical area or related field.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair machinery and equipment on the warehouse floor.
• Establish and perform regular preventive maintenance on all machinery/equipment.
• Dismantle defective machines and install new or repaired equipment.
• Maintain records of inspections, tests, and repairs.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors for mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Support health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives.
