Job summary

Target is seeking an Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Technician 3 (MT3) in Minnesota. You will maintain and troubleshoot material handling equipment, including conveyors, robotics, and AS/RS systems, ensuring high equipment availability and safety.

As the technical expert on shift, you’ll diagnose issues, train peers, and work with PLCs and control systems to minimize downtime while adhering to safety protocols and keeping up with preventive maintenance practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• Able to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance concepts.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical aspects of material handling equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC programs, relays, sensors, and motor drives.
• Develop work plans for emergency repairs of critical assets.
• Utilize mobile apps andWork Orders to document downtime and parts used.
• Collaborate with technicians and building leaders to optimize equipment uptime.
