Job summary

Lexington Manufacturing, LLC in Brainerd is seeking a 1st Shift Maintenance Tech level 2 to support on-site preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and fabrication of equipment for our manufacturing operations. The role emphasizes safe, reliable, and efficient performance with strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in a technical field or 5 years of maintenance experience, plus experience with electrical controls and diverse systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field preferred, or a minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, machining, plumbing, and building maintenance systems in manufacturing.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical controls, wiring issues, and 110V, 208V, and 480V circuits.
• Proficiency reading maintenance manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills; able to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Inspect equipment and maintain maintenance records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and safety/compliance programs.
• Fabricate parts as needed and guide other maintenance technicians.

About the role:

This on-site Maintenance Technician role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and fabricating equipment to support safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations. The position conducts equipment inspections, maintains quality and maintenance documentation, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with all safety, quality, and operational standards. The ideal candidate is a dependable and hands‑on problem solver who demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, accountability, communication, and teamwork skills, while effectively prioritizing work, leading by example, and providing guidance and support to fellow Maintenance Technicians.

The pay range for this role is $29.50/hr to $35.50/hr depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Requirements:

• Associate degree in a technical field preferred, or a minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous manufacturing maintenance experience preferred, with working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, machining, plumbing, and building maintenance systems.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical controls, wiring issues, and 110V, 208V, and 480V single-phase and three-phase circuits.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting maintenance manuals, blueprints, work instructions, electrical schematics, and pneumatic diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and computer systems to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and documentation activities.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
