Job description

This role is based onsite in our Whitsett, North Carolina facility. The base schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, with the ability to work overtime as needed.

Scope

The Maintenance Technician will engage in performing various maintenance activities at RegO, responding to maintenance requests submitted through an automated system, and completing projects as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plan for and take corrective action.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment at the proper intervals.
  • Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
  • Review production schedule and, when equipment is not scheduled for manufacturing, perform necessary change‑overs or scheduled maintenance PMs to meet customer demands.
  • Test equipment for proper operation and safety.
  • Clear jams, set aside product for inspection and rework, and verify equipment functionality before returning to operations.
  • Examine, test, and measure product from assigned equipment for quality specifications using gauges and instruments, recording data on appropriate forms.
  • Check product for visual defects.
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, report findings to supervisor, and take appropriate action.
  • Examine defects and analyze spoilage root causes, taking corrective action when possible.
  • Analyze and record root cause of production delays on daily production reports.
  • Repair and adjust small machines, such as drill presses, punch presses, grinding and buffing heads, riveters, bench power tools, and hand tools involving replacement of bearings, spindles, electrical switches, etc.
  • Work from drawings, sketches, specifications, schematics, and manufacturer manuals.
  • Use scales, squares, levels, miscellaneous power bench tools, wrenches, carpentry tools, etc., and apply oil and grease to equipment in the absence of an oiler and greaser.
  • Perform product examination and rework when the line is down due to causes beyond a mechanic’s control.
Required Education and/or Experience
  • Five (5) years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledgeable in skilled trades.
Required Qualifications
  • Well‑rounded knowledge of the practices, tools, equipment, and materials used in manufacturing environments.
  • Desirable understanding of building codes.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Basic reading, writing, and computation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.Collaboration and effective working relationships with co‑workers.
  • Problem‑solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
