Job summary

Union Depot is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform carpentry, painting, and event setup and takedowns, plus minor electrical and plumbing repairs. The role includes inspections, reporting faults, and safe use of equipment to maintain building properties and cleanliness.

The position requires frequent checks of all areas, proper handling of cleaning materials, and cooperation with building management for repairs and upkeep.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting and minor electrical/plumbing work.
• Ability to perform inspections and basic repairs across interior and exterior areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry, painting, event setup and takedown duties.
• Carry out minor electrical and plumbing repairs as needed.
• Inspect building areas, report faults, and maintain safe use of tools and cleaning supplies.
• Move furniture and arrange equipment; monitor lights, walls, floors, fixtures and roofing.

Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance technician is responsible for: carpentry, painting, event set up and take downs, miscellaneous minor electrical work and minor plumbing repairs; ensuring all building property is properly maintained; furniture moving, arrangement, placement of equipment, etc.; carrying out frequent checks of all areas, reporting any faults using the correct procedure; ensuring the safe, correct and economical use of equipment and cleaning materials. Performing other maintenance duties, as needed. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.

Pay

$26 - $29 per hour
