Job summary

ABM Industries seeks a Maintenance Technician to support a mall facility with routine tasks such as changing light bulbs, cleaning spills, and basic mechanical maintenance. The role includes reporting safety hazards and completing assigned tasks with flexibility.

Responsibilities cover plumbing, HVAC/ballast work, painting, and general cleaning across mechanical spaces and tenant areas. The position offers an hourly wage and weekly pay, with ABM’s benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in unclogging toilets and changing out faucets.
• Proficiency in changing ballasts and light bulbs.
• Skilled in patching, sanding, and painting.
• Familiarity with hand tools and general maintenance tasks.
• Comfortable working in a mall environment and walking throughout the facility.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of restroom and breakroom plumbing fixtures.
• Clear drains by plunger and hand-held auger.
• General labor such as carrying, stacking, organizing materials around the job site.
• Debris and trash removal not part of janitorial contract.
• Repairs and cleaning of HVAC registers, radiators return grills.
• Minor repairs of furniture.
• Maintaining and/or replacing door hardware.
• Repair / replacement of venetian blinds.
• Maintenance painting in mechanical and electrical rooms.
• Touch up painting in building common areas and tenant spaces when authorized.
• General cleaning in mechanical spaces and exterior entry spaces.
• Cleaning of engineering shop areas and replacing fire extinguishers.
• Hanging framed objects with limited power tool use.

Job description

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Maintenance Technician. This role involves supporting a building or facility by performing tasks such as changing light bulbs, cleaning spills, emptying trash, and conducting light mechanical maintenance. Regular housekeeping duties to maintain clean and safe areas are also required. The General Maintenance Technician will report safety hazards and larger maintenance issues to the customer and must be flexible and willing to complete all assigned tasks.

Pay: $ 28 - $28 hourly rate | Weekly pay

• Miscellaneous handyman work requiring the limited use of hand tools.
• Cleaning roof drains, air vents, registers and radiators.
• Replacing lamps and cleaning light fixtures.
• Ballast replacement per ABM Lockout / Tagout polices.
• Replacing ceiling tiles.
• Floor tile replacement.
• Replacing air filters.
• Cleaning of engineering shop areas.
• Replacing fire extinguishers.
• Hanging framed objects not requiring the use of power tools other than cordless drill/drivers.

$28 - $28 an hour
