The Pearl of Joliet, operated by Pearl Healthcare, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to lead a team of long-term care professionals in a facility with a positive community reputation and a history of successful outcomes.

The role performs general maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities, inspects for needed repairs, and collaborates with housekeeping and maintenance staff to service patient rooms, lounges, and offices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and understand directions.
• Prior maintenance technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs at facilities.
• Performs general repairs, including drywall, painting, and door repairs.
• Performs routine maintenance on building systems (lighting, flooring, plumbing, painting).
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of facilities.
• Orders supplies and materials for repairs and maintenance.
• Utilizes supplies and equipment properly without waste.
• Works jointly with facility maintenance/housekeeping staff to service patient rooms and offices.
• Vacuums and shampoos carpeting and rugs.

Description

The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs at facilities.
• Performs general repairs. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
• Performs routine maintenance on building systems including lighting, flooring, plumbing, painting.
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
• Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
• Utilizes supplies and equipment properly without waste.
• Performs emergency housekeeping.
• Works jointly with facility maintenance/housekeeping staff to service floors, all patient rooms, baths, lounges, nurses stations, and offices as assigned.
• Vacuums and shampoos carpeting and rugs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and understand directions.
• Prior maintenance technician experience preferred.
