Job summary

CareCore at Montgomery in Cincinnati, OH seeks a dependable Maintenance Technician to help keep our 99-bed skilled nursing facility safe, comfortable, and running smoothly for residents and staff. You will perform daily upkeep, assist with repairs, and support facility systems with a hands-on approach.

Ideal candidates have general maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a long-term care environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous maintenance experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of building maintenance and repair.
  • Basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, or similar hands-on experience is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete assigned repairs.
  • Dependable with strong time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional and respectful interaction with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and written and verbal instructions.
  • Comfortable working in a long-term care/skilled nursing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the facility and grounds.
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance as directed.
  • Complete routine preventative maintenance throughout the building.
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining facility systems, including water temperatures, call lights, generators, fire alarms, and other required maintenance logs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance and repair needs.
  • Identify supply, equipment, and repair needs and communicate them to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Coordinate with other departments as needed.
  • Assist with additional maintenance projects and responsibilities throughout the facility.
