Pearl Healthcare seeks a Maintenance Director to lead a team of long‑term care professionals in a facility with a strong reputation and outcomes. The role focuses on building maintenance, safety, and reliable operations to support quality patient care.

The Director will oversee repairs, preventive maintenance, and regulatory compliance, coordinating with clinical and housekeeping staff and responding to emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school preferred.
• Maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing setting.
• 1+ year of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (OSHA, CMS, state inspections).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in computer literacy
• Ability to work on-call or respond to emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs at facilities.
• Performs general repairs such as drywall, painting, and fixing doors and fixtures.
• Performs routine maintenance on building systems including lighting, plumbing, and painting.
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
• Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
• Uses supplies and equipment efficiently and without waste.
• Performs emergency housekeeping as needed.
• Collaborates with facility maintenance/housekeeping to service patient rooms, baths, lounges, and offices.
• Vacuums and shampoos carpeting and rugs.

Description

The Maintenance Director will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs at facilities.
• Performs general repairs. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
