Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is seeking a self-motivated Maintenance Tech to join our Emmetsburg, IA team. This hands-on role is responsible for maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment after diagnosing issues.

You'll perform preventative maintenance, fabricate plant items, troubleshoot electrical problems, and uphold sanitation standards while working Monday–Friday with on-call duties as needed. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in mechanical, construction or equivalent.
• Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
• Ability to read and understand computer printouts and equipment specifications.

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) currently has an opening for a self-motivated full-time Maintenance Tech to join our team in Emmetsburg, IA! This person will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment after completing diagnosis and troubleshooting various issues.

What You’ll Learn & Do

• Repair and/or replace broken or non-functioning equipment through analysis of the problem and determining what materials/parts are needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Fabricate new plant items out of metal or wood using welder’s torches, band saws, presses, and other tools.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and complete repairs when appropriate.
• Maintain plant sanitation standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for individuals who:

• 2+ years in mechanical, construction or equivalent.
• Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
• Ability to read and understand computer printouts and equipment specifications.
• Skilled in operating a forklift, bobcat and end-loader.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to safely operate equipment
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen

Work Environment

This is a hands-on industrial position. Candidates should be comfortable:

• Working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Working around grain dust and industrial equipment
• Climbing railcars, ladders, stairs up to 120 feet high

Typical schedule:

• Monday– Friday 7:00a – 3:30pm; including on call as needed
