Job summary

American Sugar Refining, part of the ASR Group family, seeks a Maintenance Team Manager at our Chalmette, Louisiana site to lead the maintenance department and drive equipment reliability at the lowest sustainable cost.

You will develop predictive and preventive maintenance, implement best practices, and mentor eight supervisors and 60+ hourly staff while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in maintenance, engineering, or operations management/supervision.
• Supervisory experience in a union environment preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage all maintenance-related activities at the site.
• Participate in safety programs to improve and enforce procedures.
• Direct and manage resources to meet safety, health and environmental rules.
• Develop and empower employees; initiate root-cause analysis and repair plans.
• Implement predictive and preventive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Standardize work processes and evaluate program effectiveness and cost benefits.
• Evaluate personnel performance and provide feedback for growth.
• Promote team spirit with open communication and timely problem resolution.
