Job summary

Westminster Management at Pier Village in Long Branch, NJ, seeks an Assistant Maintenance Manager to lead a maintenance team, conduct inspections, and mentor staff, ensuring the property remains in top condition for residents and guests.

You bring 2+ years in multifamily PM or 3+ years in PM, strong maintenance and safety knowledge, and proficiency with Yardi, Office, Teams/Zoom. On-call work and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in multifamily property management or 3+ years in property management.
• In-depth knowledge of maintenance practices, safety protocols, and fair housing regulations.
• Leadership experience with a track record of managing teams.
• Experience with property management software (Yardi) and MS Office.
• Ability to work on-call and extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Hands-on approach with high safety and quality standards.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance tasks and building inspections.
• Train and mentor maintenance team.
• Maintain and safeguard the property to ensure top condition.
• Build strong relationships with residents and staff.
• Manage service requests, preventive and emergency repairs.
• Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Contribute to cost-benefit analyses and vendor contracts.
• Prepare maintenance reports and inventories.
• Support budget creation and monitoring.
