Job summary

Cardinal Group Companies is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader for our Charleston, SC community. This full-time, non-exempt role focuses on protecting, maintaining, and enhancing resident living experience by resolving maintenance issues promptly and professionally.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience, strong customer service skills, basic maintenance abilities, and the stamina to lift 75 lbs. Weekend work and on-call emergencies are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant industry experience; property management experience is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of pool service/maintenance required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure property maintains exceptional curb appeal through grounds and buildings upkeep.
• Assist with basic repairs and other general maintenance duties.
• Demonstrate exemplary customer service and teamwork.
• Maintain a safe, tidy clubhouse, office, model, hallways and all common areas.
• Keep the property free of trash, debris and animal waste.
• Maintain landscaping and watering of flowers; ensure apartments are ready for new move-ins.
• Advise supervisor on items needing attention in apartments (carpet, linoleum, doors, etc.).
• Assist with apartment turnovers as directed.
• Communicate with the Community Manager about maintenance or curb appeal issues.
• Respond to emergencies per policies and procedures.
• Attend required in-service training sessions and follow all policies.
