Job summary

UniversityPartners is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations, ensure safety and cleanliness of the community, and deliver an exceptional resident experience. You will manage staff, coordinate vendors, and oversee preventive maintenance programs to keep facilities in top condition.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on capabilities in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and basic construction, plus strong leadership and organizational skills to maintain

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of electric, plumbing, HVAC and basic construction.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Professional demeanor from maintenance experience
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Able to lead, manage and train others
• Able to follow supervisor directions and work rules

Responsibilities

• Schedule work orders and coordinate maintenance staff, vendors, and move-in/outs.
• Prepare apartments for occupancy and manage ongoing maintenance projects.
• Inspect common areas, grounds, and systems for safety and upkeep.
• Maintain safety, compliance, inventory, and preventive maintenance records.
• Ensure completion of service requests within 24 hours where applicable.
• Develop maintenance and cleaning schedules for all community areas.
• Purchase maintenance supplies within budget guidelines.
• Review work with contractors prior to completion.
• Maintain operations and response plans for issues like asbestos, lead, and mold.
