Job summary

Altria is seeking a Maintenance Team Lead for our Richmond, VA manufacturing center to guide resources, staffing, and maintenance execution in a fast-paced environment.

You will develop and mentor teams, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with peers to meet schedule goals while upholding safety and quality standards. The role includes 2nd or 3rd shift opportunities and a starting salary reflecting experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree OR four-year state approved apprenticeship plus 3 years leadership experience.
• In lieu of education, 5 years manufacturing leadership experience.
• Maintenance team supervision experience and familiarity with Quality Systems/Lean in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage resources and staffing to meet production and project goals.
• Develop and sustain problem solving, continuous improvement and decision-making skills.
• Mentor teams and individuals; recognize, reward, and address performance as needed.
• Develop and monitor measures linking unit performance to factory and strategic objectives.
• Coordinate troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and planned maintenance activities to meet schedules.
• Share meaningful information to support problem solving and process improvements.
