Job summary

Altria's Richmond Manufacturing Center seeks a Maintenance Team Lead to guide teams in translating business strategies into actionable maintenance plans. The role focuses on staffing, development, problem solving, and performance metrics to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

You will interface with teams to coordinate maintenance tasks, drive continuous improvement, and balance priorities under time constraints. This position may involve 2nd or 3rd shift responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or four-year apprenticeship plus 3+ years leadership experience.
• Experience in maintenance team supervision.
• Knowledge of Lean/Quality Systems in manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage resources and staffing to meet production, compliance, team and project objectives.
• Develop and sustain problem solving, continuous improvement and decision-making skills.
• Mentor teams for performance improvement, administer rewards and consequences when appropriate.
• Develop and monitor measurable metrics linking unit performance to factory objectives.
• Coordinate troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and planned maintenance to meet schedules.
• Share information to support and focus problem solving and process improvement.
