Job summary

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Lead to provide day-to-day technical leadership on the third shift. You will troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment, direct maintenance technicians, and work with production leadership to improve reliability and minimize downtime.

This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge, a commitment to safety, and the ability to coach technicians, manage preventive maintenance, and document work

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and technical support to maintenance staff on third shift.
  • Prioritize and monitor maintenance work to ensure safe, timely repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment and facility systems (mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic).
  • Perform preventive maintenance and respond to urgent issues affecting uptime.
  • Coordinate priorities with production and maintenance leadership to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
  • Coach and mentor technicians, including onboarding and skills development.
  • Support equipment installations and projects while maintaining accurate records.

About the Role

An established manufacturer is seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Lead to provide day‑to‑day technical leadership on third shift. This role combines troubleshooting and repair work with team direction, preventive maintenance execution, technician development, and coordination with production leadership to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership, work direction, and technical support to maintenance technicians on third shift.
  • Assign, prioritize, and monitor maintenance work to support safe, timely completion of repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial production equipment and facility systems involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
  • Perform and support routine and preventive maintenance while responding to urgent equipment issues that affect production uptime.
  • Coordinate maintenance priorities with production and maintenance leadership to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Train, coach, and mentor technicians, including support for onboarding and technical skill development.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous‑improvement projects while maintaining accurate work orders, parts usage, and maintenance records.
  • Promote safe work practices and compliance with applicable safety, sanitation, quality, and regulated‑manufacturing requirements.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Prior lead, leadership, or supervisory experience required.
  • Hands‑on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and facility systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and maintenance documentation.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and team‑development skills.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and participate in an on‑call rotation as business needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • CMMS experience.
  • Experience mentoring or developing maintenance technicians.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and temperature‑controlled manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and machinery required to perform maintenance functions.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $33.00 - $50.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position also includes an overnight shift differential of approximately 15% during qualifying hours.
