Job summary

Alloy Precision Technologies in Mentor, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support both inside and outside the facility, keeping production equipment and utility systems running safely and reliably. You will diagnose issues, perform routine repairs with hand and power tools, coordinate with Manufacturing Services, follow AS9100 and regulatory requirements, and drive the company van when required.

A HS diploma and broad maintenance skills are needed; PLCs/HVAC/electrical/plumbing/welding

Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma and a solid maintenance background.
• Training or certification in PLCs, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or welding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow APT policies and procedures at all times.
• Coordinate maintenance programs and activities to support daily operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs to maximize equipment reliability.
• Recommend purchases of supplies needed for maintenance tasks.
• Work safely and set an example for others in the shop.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot to identify root causes of mechanical issues.
• Communicate effectively with all personnel and monitor equipment condition.
• Support production activities and assist as needed.
• Drive the company van or support approved business activities when required.

Work involves supporting Alloy Precision Technologies (APT) facility both inside and out, facility-related equipment systems, production equipment, and general support of projects utilizing available resources. All duties will be performed to meet or exceed Customer, AS9100, and regulatory requirements.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct self at all times to APT policies and procedures under the current revision.Coordinate through the Director of Manufacturing Services & the Lead Maintenance Technician maintenance programs, projects, and general activities required to support daily APT operations.Perform routine maintenance and repairs using hand and power tools to maximize reliability.Recommend purchase of supplies needed to perform maintenance duties.Perform all duties in a safe and technically sound manner. Should be an example to others.Perform diagnostic & troubleshooting procedures to find and identify root causes of mechanical issues.Demonstrate respectful and effective communication with all personnel.Monitor general operation and condition of equipment for overall APT operations effectiveness.Actively participate and be effective in production activities when required.Drive the company van or support other authorized APT business activities as required.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Completion of HS and a solid background/ experience in fundamental broad-based maintenance skills.Additionally, training or certification of specific skills a plus, such as PLCs, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Welding, etc. known to be fundamental in day-to-day AB operations a plus.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to move throughout the shop floor.Must be able to stand for an extended period of timePERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:While on the shop floor, must wear safety glasses at all times.
