Job summary

AvantStay is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to manage hands-on maintenance across our short-term rental properties, including residential and boutique hotels. You’ll troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance issues and coordinate with outside contractors when needed.

You’ll work with Area Managers, perform preventive tasks, document work in the management system, and ensure safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in property management or related maintenance
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pool, and landscaping tasks
• Tech-savvy with apps to document work
• Able to lift heavy objects
• Able to work weekends/holidays with flexible schedule
• Must provide own tools

Responsibilities

• Partner with Area Manager to resolve maintenance issues
• Perform maintenance such as repairing furniture, unclogging drains, painting, and replacing items
• Prioritize issues before guest arrival and during stays
• 80% hands-on maintenance
• 20% support local managers with third-party vendors
• Assist in obtaining quotes for third-party work
• Document maintenance and billing in the task management system
• Maintain organization of tools, furniture, and HVAC items
• Assist onboarding of new properties and install basic security components
• Move heavy objects and be on your feet for prolonged periods
