Job summary

Madison Communities is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to ensure our properties remain excellent places for residents to call home. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, oversee a maintenance team, and drive efficient, high-quality service across our portfolio.

As a hands-on leader, you will coordinate with property management, manage budgets, enforce safety standards, and champion resident satisfaction across our garden-style communities in the Southeast.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification and CPO certification are required.
• Proven experience in plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and construction.
• Strong supervisory experience with leadership and mentoring of a team.
• Excellent communication and resident-focused customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of property maintenance including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Plan and oversee the maintenance budget to stay within financial guidelines.
• Maintain organized, safe shop areas with adequate replacement parts and tools.
• Recruit, train, and supervise a maintenance team.
• Collaborate with property management to ensure smooth maintenance activities.
• Respond quickly to emergency maintenance needs to minimize resident disruption.
• Lead by example to ensure safety compliance across operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train, and supervise a skilled maintenance team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
• Collaborate with property management to ensure the smooth operation of maintenance activities.
• Respond quickly to emergency maintenance needs to minimize disruptions for residents.
• Lead by example to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience in plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and construction.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve challenges.
• EPA Certification and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification (required).
• Strong supervisory experience, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a resident-focused mindset.
