Job summary

Madison Communities seeks a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to keep our apartment communities in top condition. You’ll troubleshoot mechanical and electrical challenges and lead a maintenance team to deliver high standards of service for residents.

Travel between properties may be required. EPA and CPO certifications are essential, with a strong focus on safety, budget discipline, and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general systems.
• EPA and CPO certifications are required.
• Experience supervising and developing a maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of property maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Plan and oversee the maintenance budget, ensuring operations stay within financial guidelines.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe shop areas, with adequate levels of replacement parts and tools.
• Recruit, train, and supervise a skilled maintenance team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
• Collaborate with property management to ensure the smooth operation of maintenance activities.
• Respond quickly to emergency maintenance needs to minimize disruptions for residents.
• Lead by example to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience in plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and construction.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve challenges.
• EPA Certification and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification (required).
• Strong supervisory experience, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a resident-focused mindset.
