Job summary

Prairie Landing, a BHI Senior Living community in Fort Wayne, seeks a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance and housekeeping operations. You will supervise staff, manage preventative maintenance, and ensure the safety and comfort of residents across a 60‑acre campus.

You will coordinate budgets, respond to urgent needs, and uphold high service standards in a vibrant active‑adult community with strong community ties and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years maintenance experience or technical training.
• Experience overseeing landscaping operations.
• Ability to lead others effectively, respectfully, and with integrity.
• Working knowledge of standard computer applications.
• Strong customer service skills and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Monitor building and grounds systems and ensure safety compliance.
• Implement and oversee the preventative maintenance schedules.
• Perform pool maintenance including water testing, chemical balancing, equipment checks, and general pool upkeep.
• Demonstrate fiscal responsibility with the annual operating budget.
• Promptly respond to urgent maintenance and housekeeping needs.
• Monitor the work order request system.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and orientation of new employees; train and supervise staff; address disciplinary actions; manage staffing schedules.
