Job summary

The Towne House Retirement Community in Fort Wayne is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance and housekeeping operations in an active adult environment.

You will monitor building and grounds systems, oversee preventive maintenance, supervise staff, manage the operating budget, and respond to urgent needs while delivering exceptional service to residents. The role also includes pool maintenance, safety compliance, and coordination with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• 3 years maintenance experience or technical training.
• Experience overseeing landscaping operations.
• Ability to lead others effectively, respectfully, and with integrity.
• Working knowledge of standard computer applications.
• Strong customer service skills and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Monitor building and grounds systems and ensure safety compliance.
• Implement and oversee the preventative maintenance schedules.
• Perform pool maintenance including water testing, chemical balancing, equipment checks, and general pool upkeep.
• Demonstrate fiscal responsibility with the annual operating budget.
• Promptly respond to urgent maintenance and housekeeping needs.
• Monitor the work order request system.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and orientation for new employees; provide training and supervision; address disciplinary actions; implement staffing schedules.

The Maintenance Supervisor plans, coordinates, and supervises all maintenance and housekeeping operations, including preventative maintenance, repairs, grounds maintenance, and regulatory compliance. We are looking for a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge and a commitment to providing exceptional service in an active adult community environment. You will play a vital role in empowering the maintenance and housekeeping team while protecting the physical space that supports quality care for the residents.

In this role you will:
