Job summary

Carmeuse North America is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily plant maintenance activities across crushing, conveying, and material handling systems. You will coordinate corrective, preventive, and predictive work, ensuring reliability and adherence to standards.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial maintenance with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity within a union setting, plus OSHA/MSHA familiarity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in a union manufacturing or mining environment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical maintenance principles for crushers, conveyors, pumps, hydraulics, rotating equipment, and material handling systems.
• Familiarity with OSHA and MSHA safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance activities for crushing, conveying, screening, material handling, and associated plant equipment.
• Coordinate corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
• Assign and prioritize work orders based on operational requirements and maintenance needs.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities with operations.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to maintenance standards.
• Direct and supervise union maintenance employees on day and night shifts.
• Manage employee performance through coaching, training, and accountability.
• Administer provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
• Participate in grievance meetings and labor-management discussions as required.
• Coordinate manpower and shift coverage to meet business needs.
• Foster positive labor relations through fair, consistent leadership.
