Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring the community's buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality in Herndon, VA.

You will diagnose resident requests, complete work orders, manage the make‑ready process for move‑ins, supervise vendors, and maintain tools and inventory while supporting budget and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and follow policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete work orders from resident requests.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant units and inspections.
• Schedule vendors and oversee contractors as needed.
• Maintain inventory of tools and parts and assist with budgeting.
