Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all facility equipment functions efficiently and to lead maintenance staff training and process improvements. The role requires diagnosing problems, supervising preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• 2+ years of experience supervising maintenance personnel.
• Maintenance administration experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting, negotiating, parts management, vendor management, maintenance management systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Must pass UniFirst’s maintenance knowledge assessment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective actions.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Follow blueprints and manuals with a documented schedule.
• Manage shifts and oversee maintenance department activities.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in maintenance operations.
• Train and develop maintenance staff and partners.
