Job summary

Smurfit WestRock, a leader in sustainable packaging, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead service and maintenance staff, ensure safe maintenance of plant assets, and drive continuous improvement in production efficiency. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and cost-effective operations.

The candidate will oversee maintenance strategies, mentor craftsmen, and align with Plant Leadership Team on goals and standards while negotiating with labor unions where needed.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in industrial maintenance with 5+ years in maintenance supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership on maintenance operations to maximize production.
• Develop and implement short- and long-term maintenance strategies for operating efficiency.
• Create maintenance department safety goals and plans for a safe work environment.
• Use best practices to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Supervise and inspect maintenance work ensuring up-to-date technology and practices.
• Monitor KPIs to assess efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement.

Education

2-year technical degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
