Job summary

Smurfit WestRock seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead the service and maintenance staff in safe maintenance, repair, or replacement of plant assets. You will drive continuous improvement for efficient, high-quality production and align maintenance goals with plant objectives.

The role requires a strong background in electrical/mechanical/industrial maintenance, proven leadership, and the ability to manage KPIs and safety programs while integrating best practices and modern CMMS systems.

Qualifications

2-year technical degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering is required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
10+ years of experience in industrial maintenance with 5+ years in maintenance management is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook; experience with JDE, PLC/DCS or CMMS is expected.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership on maintenance operations to maximize production.
Develop and implement short- and long-term maintenance strategy for operating efficiency.
Create department safety goals and plans for a safe work environment.
Create a maintenance program to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
Supervise and inspect maintenance work to ensure modern technology and best practices are used.
Manage and analyze maintenance KPIs to drive performance.
Monitor departmental performance in safety, environmental, reliability, and cost.
