Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Maintenance Manager to provide leadership for the service and maintenance staff, ensuring safe maintenance, repair, or replacement of mill assets. You will drive continuous improvement to enable efficient, high-quality production of customer products.

Responsibilities include strategic maintenance planning, safety goal setting, and collaboration with the Plant Leadership Team to align on plant goals and standards, while negotiating with labor on contract issues.

Qualifications

• Required: 10–15 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Preferred: 5+ years of experience in maintenance management.
• Required: 2-year technical degree in relevant engineering field.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership on maintenance operations to ensure maximum production.
• Develop and implement short- and long-term maintenance strategy for operating efficiency.
• Create Maintenance Department safety goals and ensure a safe work environment.
• Create an effective Plant Maintenance Program to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Supervise and inspect maintenance work to ensure best practices and up-to-date technology are used.
• Manage and analyze maintenance KPIs to drive performance excellence.
• Monitor safety, environmental, reliability, and cost effectiveness of maintenance.
• Lead development of maintenance business plan and forecasts.
• Serve on Plant Leadership Team to align goals and standards.
