Job summary

Smurfit WestRock is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Colorado to lead service and maintenance staff, ensuring safe repair and replacement of plant assets, and driving continuous improvement for efficient, high-quality production.

You will develop maintenance strategies, coach technicians, enforce safety and regulatory standards, monitor KPIs, manage parts inventory, and foster a high-performance culture aligned with company objectives.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or related work experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• Working knowledge of maintenance techniques and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for maintenance operations to maximize equipment reliability, plant uptime, and production performance.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve maintenance strategies, reliability programs, and preventive maintenance initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and direct maintenance craftsmen to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, minimizing downtime.
• Establish and enforce safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Plan, supervise, and evaluate maintenance work to follow best practices and use current technologies.
• Monitor KPIs such as safety, reliability, uptime, environmental performance, and cost effectiveness.
• Manage maintenance inventory and storeroom operations, including approvals of parts purchases.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Foster employee development through leadership, coaching, and training.
• Drive a high-performance culture to exceed safety and operational standards.
