Job summary

Greystar seeks a Maintenance Technician for Avana Matthews in Matthews, NC. You will diagnose and repair issues in units, perform routine upkeep on community grounds and facilities, and coordinate with vendors to keep the property in top condition.

You will help with make‑ready tasks, safety procedures, and inspections, while providing excellent service to residents and supporting the Community Manager with basic budgeting and cost controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Experience in property maintenance or related trade.
• Ability to use hand tools and general maintenance equipment safely.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Handle and complete work orders from residents, diagnose issues, and perform repairs.
• Prepare vacant units for leasing via make‑ready, inspect, and coordinate needed tasks.
• Maintain grounds, exteriors, and common areas to Greystar standards.
• Inspect work by others and contractors, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Assist in budget development for repairs and capital projects.
