Job summary

ACMH Inc. in Queens Village is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Sabra Goldman House. The role ensures repairs and preventive maintenance of the facility and its systems, coordinating with the Facilities Manager.

The schedule is Tue-Sat 8am-4pm; candidates should have mechanical ability, experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and be able to lift 50 pounds. Responsibilities include inspecting plant areas, coordinating with contractors, assisting with moves, and providing light maintenance

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and experience with building systems.
• Understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry basics.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and ensures maintenance and repairs are provided.
• Maintains preventive maintenance schedules and upkeep.
• Performs maintenance and repairs across trades (carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Inspects building systems including boiler rooms and electrical rooms.
• Liaises with outside contractors for services.
• Inventories furniture, appliances and equipment.
• Alerts supervisors to maintenance issues.
• Assists with client move-ins and move-outs.
• Provides coverage for light maintenance and custodial duties.
• Attends support staff meetings.
• On call for emergencies.
• Duties as assigned by supervisor.
