Conifer Realty in Hempstead, NY is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our affordable housing communities. This full-time role is 40 hours per week with on-call rotation, requiring hands-on leadership and a focus on safety, quality, and resident satisfaction.

You’ll supervise maintenance staff, manage work orders and preventive maintenance, and coordinate with the Community Manager on budgets, inspections, and compliance. HVAC certification and strong technical skills are essential.

Competenze

• 5+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience, including team supervision.
• HVAC certification and knowledge of inspections, preventive maintenance, and Fair Housing.
• Expertise in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and safety compliance.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and maintenance schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi or similar systems.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to respond within 30 minutes for on-call emergencies.
• High school diploma or GED (technical or vocational training preferred).

Mansioni

• Lead and train maintenance staff to uphold Conifer’s quality and safety standards.
• Manage work orders, make-ready units, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with the Community Manager on budgets, inspections, and resident care.
• Ensure compliance with safety and housing regulations.
