Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team, oversee daily upkeep, and ensure property grounds and buildings are well-maintained. You will schedule tasks, collaborate with site managers, and drive safety and efficiency across maintenance activities.

Ideal candidates bring HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge, strong communication, and prior supervisory experience in property maintenance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Effective communication skills.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and making recommendations for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Assist in training of service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Take the initiative to improve processes and maintenance methods.
• Maintain MSDS sheets and replacement logs.
• Hold the maintenance team accountable to ensure they are meeting expectations including attendance.
• Schedule and assist in supervising and selecting all vendor work.
• Be responsible for inventory, ordering, and delivery of supplies and equipment for service, custodial and grounds.
• Ensure OSHA standards and safety policies are complied with.
• Handle lock-outs due to evictions and 24-hour response to service requests.
• Be available to work on an on-call basis.
• Report unusual circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Remove snow and ice as necessary.
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand.
