Job summary

Live AMC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance team and provide upkeep for the property. Responsibilities include scheduling daily tasks, preparing vacant units, and supervising service, housekeeping, and grounds staff.

The role requires knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, with a focus on safety, tool use, and positive internal/external relationships. Supervisory experience is preferred and on-call availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and recommendations for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel with the manager.
• Assist in training of service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Take initiative to improve processes and maintenance methods.
• Maintain MSDS sheets as well as replacement logs.
• Hold maintenance team accountable to ensure attendance and performance.
• Schedule and assist in supervision and selection of vendor work.
• Be responsible for inventory, ordering, and delivery of supplies for service, custodial and grounds.
• Ensure OSHA standards and company safety policies are followed.
• Handle lock-outs due to evictions and provide 24-hour service response.
• Be available to work on an on-call basis.
• Report unusual circumstances regarding property or residents.
• Remove snow and ice as necessary.
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand.
