Job description

At Danone, manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Maintenance Supervisor (internally called Maintenance Leader) based in our Dallas, Texas beverage manufacturing facility.

In this role, you will be responsible for the equipment maintenance plan and breakdown analysis execution of an assigned line. You will champion equipment reliability and performance and will be part of the line trio which has 24/7 ownership of the assigned production line, along with a Process Engineer and Production Line Leader.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Review and prioritize work orders and notifications within 24 hours of generation.
  • Ensure the work order backlog is current, sorted for reporting.
  • Lead the review of the previous job completion results, other maintenance activities, and today’s plan in the Daily Meeting. Plans should be adjusted accordingly based upon scheduled work, scheduled work completion, and break in work.
  • Actively support and coordinate the planned stop, incorporating work orders and maintenance tasks into the plan.
  • Lead the scheduling of maintenance work for the next week and month, as dictated by the annual maintenance plan and previously identified work.
  • Lead optimization with Line Leader/Process Engineer of startup and shutdown of line and major maintenance interventions.
  • Ensure the revision and updating of “Maintenance Technical Documentation” occurs as necessary.
  • Create One Point Lessons (OPL) and train and qualify line team in maintenance activities.
  • Develop and update annual maintenance plan and calendar.
  • Ensure maintenance indicator results & in-process measures are tracked and current.
  • Use maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and in-process measures to assess progress and equipment reliability, sharing results with leadership monthly.
  • Monitor the health of Preventative Maintenance (PM), Daily Management System (DMS), and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop improvement plans through tracking maintenance indicators & in-process measures.
  • Follow Change Management procedures for equipment design change proposals.
  • Ensure all technical documentation and equipment drawings are complete, accurate, and accessible.
  • Collaborate with storeroom to manage parts inventory and identify obsolete or off-quality parts.
  • Provide feedback on new equipment or line speed changes, participate in vendor acceptance testing.
  • Support the PM pillar team and own the site PM system as required.
  • Support and coach maintenance team members, supporting the IWS path.
  • Achieve SQCDMN goals through individual and team efforts.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations (WISE) to ensure a safe working environment.

About you
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred; alternatively, 3-5 years manufacturing experience with technical aptitude and leadership.
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in a fluid environment.
  • Ability to support 24/7 operations, including overtime, graveyard shifts, and weekends.
