Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in industrial maintenance within food processing, refrigerated food manufacturing, or packaging environments.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role overseeing maintenance teams.
• Proven experience implementing or managing preventive maintenance programs using platforms like UpKeep, MaintainX, Fiix, eMaint, SAP PM, MVP Plant, or similar.
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, GFSI compliance, and food safety standards.
• Ability to interpret equipment manuals, electrical schematics, and preventive maintenance instructions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, planning, and follow-up skills.

Required Skills:

• Background with Implementing a Preventative Maintenance Program (PM)
• Minimum of 5 years in industrial maintenance within food processing, refrigerated food manufacturing, or packaging environments
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role overseeing maintenance teams
• Proven experience implementing or managing preventive maintenance programs using platforms like UpKeep, MaintainX, Fiix, eMaint, SAP PM, MVP Plant, or similar
• Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting abilities
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, GFSI compliance, and food safety standards
• Ability to interpret equipment manuals, electrical schematics, and preventive maintenance instructions
• Excellent leadership, communication, planning, and follow-up skills
• Capable of working in wet, refrigerated, and fast-paced environments with urgent repair needs

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with fresh-cut produce, packaging lines, weigh scales, VFFS equipment, conveyors, metal detection, and case packing
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, compressors, HVAC, and water systems
• Support for SQF, FDA audits, or third-party food safety inspections
• Technical certifications such as OSHA 10/30, CMRP, electrical, welding, refrigeration, PLC skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills

Education and Experience:

• Technical diploma, associate's or bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial technology
• Prior experience supporting fresh-cut, produce processing, or refrigerated food manufacturing environments

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work on the production floor, support off-shift activities, and respond promptly to urgent equipment issues
• Comfortable working in a refrigerated, wet environment with moving machinery and sanitation activities
• Willingness to support safety programs and maintain compliance with OSHA and food safety standards
