Job summary

Greystar is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to keep the community’s buildings, grounds, and common areas in top condition. You will perform repairs, handle resident work orders, and uphold Greystar’s standards for safety and appearance.

You will also manage the make-ready process for vacants, coordinate vendors, monitor supplies, and support budgeting while ensuring exceptional resident service and compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in property maintenance or building maintenance preferred.
• Own hand tools required unless prohibited by state law.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency in customer service and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects in buildings, grounds, and common areas.
• Complete work orders from resident requests following safety standards and code requirements.
• Oversee the "make-ready" process for vacant units, coordinate vendors and inspect work.
• Maintain adequate inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials; assist budget adherence.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance and company safety policies.
• Assist Community Manager with budget planning and cost-control initiatives.
