Job summary

Bryten is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor for our The Portland community in Saint Petersburg, FL. You will lead and support a maintenance team to ensure safety, cleanliness and reliability across all building systems.

You will manage service requests, preventive maintenance, and make-ready processes while coordinating with vendors and management to deliver exceptional resident experiences. On-site roles require on-call availability and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC certification and/or trade certifications in electrical, plumbing or related fields.
• Three or more years of building, facilities, apartment, or property maintenance experience.
• Experience in supervising or leading a team is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry and general maintenance practices.
• Ability to read diagrams, technical manuals, work orders and safety documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, train and support the maintenance team with a focus on safety, accountability and customer service.
• Coordinate service requests, preventive maintenance programs and repairs for timely completion.
• Oversee make-ready operations and vacancy readiness according to standards.
• Perform and supervise repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry and general building systems.
• Inspect apartments, common areas, building systems and grounds for quality and safety.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors and management for operations and capital projects.
• Maintain maintenance records, inventory, work orders and required documentation.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in on-call rotation as required.
