Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) seeks a Maintenance Supervisor in Vancouver, WA to manage daily maintenance, supervise staff, and coordinate vendor work. The role emphasizes safety, inventory control, and improving maintenance processes while ensuring timely responses to tenant requests.

Compensation is competitive full-time hourly pay, with benefits including time off, health programs, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Effective communication skills.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and making recommendations for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel with the manager.
• Assist in training of all service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Improve maintenance processes and methods.
• Maintain MSDS sheets and replacement logs.
• Hold maintenance team accountable for attendance and performance.
• Supervise and assist in vendor work selection.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and delivery of supplies for service, custodial and grounds.
• Ensure OSHA standards and safety policies are followed.
• Handle lock-outs due to evictions and provide 24-hour service response.
• Be available for on-call work.
• Report unusual circumstances regarding property or residents.
• Remove snow and ice as necessary.
