Job summary

CRM Residential is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team across our properties in Washington, DC. You will implement preventive maintenance, supervise technicians, and ensure repairs meet policy guidelines while coordinating emergency coverage with the Community Manager.

Responsibilities include safety training, inventory management, and assisting with budgeting and bids. The role requires on-call availability and a strong focus on quality and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 3–4 years experience can offset.
• 1 year supervisory experience.
• Experience with boilers or appliance repair preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• On-call availability for nights and weekends.
• OSHA, fire prevention and safety knowledge.
• Schedule: Full Time 8:30am-5:00pm; on-call required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive maintenance and supervise technicians to keep buildings and equipment in top condition.
• Coordinate emergency coverage and plan for staff absences with the Community Manager.
• Inspect facilities, report deficiencies, and ensure timely repairs and work orders.
• Monitor inventory, purchasing, and vendor bids for maintenance needs.
• Maintain safety procedures, conduct training, and ensure compliance with policies.
• Support budget preparation and participate in annual operating plans.
• On-call duties may require travel to properties after hours.
