Job summary

AUTOKINITON's Plymouth, Michigan plant is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team, drive safety and reliability, and meet production goals. This full-time role reports to the Maintenance Manager and requires strong leadership, problem solving, and hands-on supervision.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree or substantial experience, with several years in maintenance supervision, and will oversee safety, quality, and delivery in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Applied Science in Manufacturing, Engineering or Industrial Technology preferred or eight years of work experience.
Minimum of six years as a maintenance supervisor preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for maintenance department safety, quality, production and delivery objectives in his/her area of responsibility.
Provide proactive leadership necessary to achieve and maintain a continuous improvement mindset for the team.
Communicate and prioritize daily work assignments to the team.
Participate in root cause analysis and team problem solving activities (e.g. 8D reports, department meetings, etc.).
Responsible for ensuring the entire team has the necessary tools and materials to properly perform their roles safely and efficiently.
