Job summary

AUTOKINITON – Plymouth facility in Plymouth MI seeks a full-time Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, payroll-related tasks around shifts, and quality documentation compliance. The role emphasizes lean improvements, training, and effective communication with teams and supervision.

You will lead setup and production reporting, monitor schedules and inventories, and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years related experience.
• Lean manufacturing experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of SPC, welding processes, and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Educates associates on proper procedures of policy, safety and quality issues and production requirements.
• Monitors required Quality documentation and inspection checks with notes/comments as needed.
• Eliminates waste through safety, quality, and production improvements.
• Conducts daily department meetings addressing quality, attendance, safety and production requirements.
• Oversees setup on work centers and ensures quality performance and proper documentation.
• Prepares and audits daily production reports; trains operators to do so.
• Communicates staffing needs with supervision and adjusts schedules.
• Monitors production plans, inventories, and coordinates corrective actions.
