Job summary

Greystar is seeking aMaintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings meet safety and quality standards. You will handle resident service requests, diagnose defects, and perform repairs in line with policy and code requirements.

You will manage the make-ready process for vacant units, inspect work, and coordinate with vendors and contractors. The role supports budget planning and ensures efficient, cost-conscious maintenance operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and communicating effectively to represent management.
• Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and database management; PMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues following safety standards and code requirements.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units, schedule vendors, and complete pre-move inspections.
• Set standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, buildings, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Inspect work of service teams and contractors to ensure quality and budget adherence.
• Maintain inventory of parts and equipment; assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
