Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment runs efficiently and to lead maintenance staff in daily operations.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, perform preventive maintenance, manage repairs and safety compliance, and partner with the Production Manager to develop the building and equipment budget. Candidates need 3+ years of experience repairing industrial equipment and 2+ years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Must read blueprints and schematics.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience repairing industrial processing equipment.
• Experience supervising maintenance personnel preferred.
• Maintenance administration including planning, scheduling, budgeting, parts management, vendor management, and CMMS is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action by checking blueprints, schematics, repair manuals and parts catalogs.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and associated control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Follow blueprints and manuals using a documented schedule.
• Monitor safety and environmental compliance within the maintenance department.
• Train and develop maintenance partners.
