Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a maintenance supervisor to oversee skilled trade workers in maintaining and repairing equipment, buildings, and utility systems at our protein conversion/pet food facility. You will lead and coordinate activities, inspect work, and ensure conformity to blueprints and standards.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of directly related experience and be able to work flexible hours in a poultry processing environment. Benefits and career growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Requires experience supervising skilled trade workers.
• Experience in maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
• Ability to work in a poultry processing environment and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Directs workers on painting, masonry, woodwork, and building repairs.
• Supervises installation, servicing, and repair of mechanical equipment and plant systems.
• Inspects completed work against blueprints and standards.
• Prepares work schedules and assigns tasks to staff.
• Interprets and enforces company policies and practices.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems with the team.
• Works on construction or modification projects for buildings/facilities.
• Maintains production equipment to minimize downtime; manages tools and supplies.
• Establishes preventive maintenance programs and training procedures.
• May supervise ground maintenance and custodial staff.
